Come Try Ringette & NRL Game a HUGE Success
On Saturday September 10, 2016, Elora-Fergus Ringette hosted a Come Try Ringette event. This event allowed children to come and try the game of Ringette FREE!! There were many happy faces on the ice as the children were instructed on the basics of Ringette and played many fun games.
Right after the on-ice portion of the Come Try Ringette event, we hosted an Exhibition NRL game between the Waterloo Wildfire and Richmond Hill. We had approximately 150 people come and cheer on these two teams. Thanks to David Duncan, head coach of the Waterloo Wildfire team and his bench staff for all of their assistance in making this game possible. Also, thanks goes out to the NRL for all there assistance and donations to this game. We can't forget the executive members of Elora-Fergus Ringette for all the time they put in to make both events possible.
It was a close game, but a great way to kick off the 2016/2017 season!!
