Fall Session 1 - Update for Guardians/Players

Oct. 01, 2020

PLEASE SEE BELOW AN IMPORTANT UPDATE FOR FALL SESSION 1 GUARDIANS AND PARENTS:

Thank you so much for registering for Fall Session 1. We’re looking forward to seeing everyone soon.

Please make sure you read through this update as soon as possible. There are important items that need your attention in order to be allowed on the ice.

The safety of EFRA families and members is our number one priority and goal for the 2020/21 season. We have been working with Ringette Canada, Ringette Ontario, Provincial and local governments, and public health units to ensure our return to play plan meets this goal. Many of us are anxious to get back on the ice, but we need to be cautious and do everything we can to ensure that we are not contributing to the spread of COVID-19 in our community.

Now that registration for Fall Session 1 is closed, there are a number of protocols and actions that all of us need to do in order to ensure that returning to the ice is safe.

You, as parents and players, have a role too.

Registration is only one step of the process, but before EFRA will allow you or your child on the ice, there are requirements you must fulfill below.

PLEASE NOTE, IF YOU DO NOT ABIDE BY THE PROTOCOLS SET OUT BELOW YOU/YOUR CHILD WILL NOT BE PERMITTED IN THE FACILITY OR ON THE ICE, NO EXCEPTIONS:

  1. Read, understand and sign waivers and declaration forms:
    • Forms are available for print on https://elorafergusringette.ca/
    • Click on the “Return to Play 2020/21” menu item (top left); then click on “Required Waivers & Forms” to view items.
    • Print, sign and send a scanned copy or photo of your signed waivers and forms to Bruce Parkin, EFRA COVID-19 Safety Leader (bruceparkin@yahoo.ca) by 6:00 pm on October 6, 2020 (48 hours prior to first ice session). Please cc efr@elorafergusringette.ca.

  4. Become familiar with RAMP Team App and be prepared to receive an invitation soon from your head coach/facilitator inviting you to join your divisional group.
    • The RAMP Team App has many tools for your teams to successfully communicate and administrate. To view how the RAMP Team App works, click here: https://youtu.be/usbEuuknVh0
    • RAMP Interactive has released a COVID-19 "FIT TO PLAY" waiver built right into the RAMP Team App. This allows us to manage, document and meet all requirements for COVID status Sign-Off for all Events, Practices and Games. It is mandated that all participants agree to COVID-19 clearance questions and produce a signature in the Electronic Sign-Off area of the RAMP Team App, when RSVP'ing for scheduled Events, Practices, or Games. Please review the process by watching the following video: https://youtu.be/cKEk-XVvhp8
    • Through the APP you can confirm your attendance 48 hours in advance of ice-times and submit your FIT TO PLAY waiver which is required to participate in each ice-time. Anyone who does not do this cannot go on the ice, no exceptions.

Many thanks in advance to your attention to these items.

If you have any question or concern, please email us at efr@elorafergusringette.ca.
