Fall Session 1 - Update for Bench Staff
PLEASE SEE BELOW AN IMPORTANT UPDATE FOR FALL SESSION 1 BENCH STAFF:
Thank you so much for volunteering this season as a member of our coaching and bench staff.
Tracey, Bruce and I are looking forward to on boarding you in more detail tomorrow. In the meantime, Tracey will be in touch with a few additional details including your team lists (and hopefully schedules) before our meeting.
In addition to what we’ll cover tomorrow, there are a number of protocols and actions that need to be taken to ensure that returning to the ice is safe. As coaching and bench staff, you have a critical role in ensuring that the guidelines, protocols and requirements in place are enforced and we are grateful for your support.
As a first step, we have prepared some important information below including some critical requirements that must be completed before any EFRA members can engage in ringette activities and step on the ice.
- Please make sure you’re personally registered in RAMP before October 6th to be allowed to step on the ice. This will ensure you are insured through Ringette Ontario’s policy.
- Read, understand and sign waivers and declaration forms:
- Forms are available for print on https://elorafergusringette.ca/ - Click on the “Return to Play 2020/21” menu item (top left); then click on “Required Waivers & Forms” to view items.
- Please print and sign a scanned copy or photo of signed waivers and forms must be sent to Bruce Parkin, EFRA COVID-19 Safety Leader (bruceparkin@yahoo.ca) by 6:00 pm on October 6, 2020 (48 hours prior to first ice session). Please cc efr@elorafergusringette.ca
- Be informed of bench staff & facilities protocols and responsibilities for before, during and after ice-times.
- Get ready to use RAMP Team App:
- Please become Familiar with the RAMP Team App - very similar to Teamsnap:
- The App has many tools for your teams to successfully communicate and administrate. To view how the RAMP Team App works, click here: https://youtu.be/usbEuuknVh0
- RAMP Interactive has released a COVID-19 "FIT TO PLAY" waiver built right into the RAMP Team App. This allows us to manage, document and meet all requirements for COVID status Sign-Off for all Events, Practices and Games. It is mandated that all participants agree to COVID-19 clearance questions and produce a signature in the Electronic Sign-Off area of the RAMP Team App, when RSVP'ing for scheduled Events, Practices, or Games. Please review the process by watching the following video: https://youtu.be/cKEk-XVvhp8
- Contact information for your players and a practice schedule will be provided to you soon.
- Tomorrow, we will sign you up to start your group as a “Team” on the App. You will receive an invitation via email to log-in and start setting up your team.
- Once received, please do the following asap (by October 4th at the latest). This will allow parents/guardians time to create their own accounts and confirm their attendance before their first ice-time:
- Invite team members to join by adding them to your roster
- Add in your scheduled events
- Through the APP everyone (bench staff and players) must confirm attendance 48 hours in advance of ice-times and submit the FIT TO PLAY waiver which is required to participate in each ice-time. Anyone who does not do this cannot go on the ice, no exceptions.
- Ensure you have all the right equipment required to be safe on the ice, including requirements relating to COVID-19 - https://ringetteontario.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Ringette-Ontario-Ringette-Bag-Essentials.pdf
Many thanks in advance for your attention to these items.
If you have any questions or concerns, please bring them forward tomorrow, or email efr@elorafergusringette.ca so that we can help provide more information. We want to do everything we can to make sure you feel ready.
