TRYOUTS:
May 19 | 7:15-8:15 PM (Sportspark, Cambridge) (Open)
May 23 | 5:00-6:00 PM (U of G - Red Rink) (Open)
May 24 | 4:00-5:00 PM (U of G - Red Rink) (Invite Only)
May 26 | 7:00-8:00 PM (RIM Park Waterloo) (Invite Only)
May 28 | 6:30-7:30 PM (U of G - Gold Rink) (Invite Only)
Please note:
- Ringette Ontario has approved us for a Female-Only team at this level.
- This team is co-hosted with the Guelph Ringette Association.
- Player Offers and Releases will come from the Tryout Lead (or Head Coach) at any point after your player's first tryout and sent via email.
- Any requests for feedback need to go to the tryout lead and may not come during the tryout period.
- Each Head Coach will have a letter communicating their season's goals and expectations from the players and families.
- Some of the teams may have additional costs for non-parent coaches, extra training and for additional tournaments selected outside of the ranking tournaments assigned by Ringette Ontario.
Please remember that tryouts are a stressful time of year, and we ask that everyone be positive and supportive during this process. Coaches, evaluators, players, parents and the zamboni driver are all put under a great deal of stress to do their best. It is not easy for evaluators to pick 12 to 16 players out of 30+ athletes, and it is not easy for a player to go through these evaluations.
Decisions regarding roster spots and releases will be communicated by email. If releases are being made you may receive notice that you have received an offer from the team (Roster Spot Offered), or releaseed from the team (Roster Spot Offered). Invite only tryouts are used when teams need to make further cuts:
- Sometimes all remaining players will be invited back, while other tryouts will only invite back athletes they need to see again.
- In some cases, the top athletes may not be invited back as they already have made the team and do not need to be seen again.
- If you are not invited back to a tryout, this is not a release.
